Total Pupil Premium Allocation for 2012/13 £4360
Pupil Premium allocation for Gedney Hill Church of England Primary School has been spent on additional support for those pupils who are vulnerable to under achievement. This includes support staff funding and providing materials to support those pupils.
Parents who feel they need financial support for school trips should contact the school office directly.

The last day of term is Friday 24th May 2013. We return on Monday 3rd June.

In November we had our Ofsted Inspection and our overall effectiveness: how good is the school was graded a: 2 which is good.
The school's capacity for sustained improvement was graded a: 2 which is a good.
Inspection grades: 1 is Outstanding; 2 is Good; 3 is Satisfactory and 4 is inadequate.

Gedney Hill is a very modern looking building, which has recently been updated as you will see in the main hall, extensive work has been carried out. We also offer Disabled toilet facilities and a brand new entrance with an up- to- date security system. The playground area for the early years has an outside cover, so the children can enjoy the outside space. The older children have a trim trail which they all enjoy. As you will see our Sat's results prove we are one of the top School's in the county. A varied sports calendar and Children's Choice on Wednesdays which is a favourite with the children. The resent Ofsted report shows we are continuing to go from strength to strength, but still remaining a village school with links to the local playgroup,local community and the local village Church. Gedney Hill CE primary school is a rural village school. All staff team has been crucial in the success of the school's continued improvement. The school caters for children aged four years until eleven years and is a Voluntary controlled Church of England primary school. Gedney Hill C of E Primary school achieves very good value added between key stages one and two. Many children achieve places at the local High and Grammar schools and the school has close links with the local secondary schools.The school has a positive ethos and family atmosphere and has a long established standing in the community. We have well established partnerships with the community through links with other schools and the sports initiative . The school achieved the Sports Active Mark and won the football and netball leagues with county representation at Tag Rugby. We also perform well in the local athletics and gymnastic competitions. The school has also aquired a range of high quality expertise in the performing arts, which is being used to raise the self esteem of pupils, and raise standards in speaking and listening skills and in the arts. The community mobile library enhances provision for reading.
Come and have a look at our school, lots of improvements have taken place. We now have a grand new entrance, new paths, disabled facilities,new alarm and heating system. New windows and our main hall has been totally revamped. As you can see in the pictures below. But please feel free to come and have a look round our school, which could be your NEW school !

We have another new addition to our School situated in the playground is a new bike shed for safe storage of your bicycle.
The old swimming pool has now gone and replaced with a staff car park leaving extra parking for present and future parents.
